Know about the trailer’s lubrication and retightening procedures

Every 3,000 km traveled: check and retighten the spring clips, suspension bolts, axle bolts and check the suspension.

At least once a week or every 3,000 km traveled: Lubricate the trolley wheels, the central pin of the rear suspension rocker arm, the locks’ axles and also the coupling end.

Every 5,000 km traveled or every tire change: Trailer’s wheels balancing and alignment.

Periodic maintenance:

  • Change the tires, check the coupling shaft and bumper pins.
  • Check the brake system, such as leaks and water hoses. Brake pawl, ABS system wiring and also make sudden braking tests, for better system verification.
  • Check the lashing slings every time you secure the container. Also check the container’s locking when on top of the trailer.
  • Check the trailer’s electrical system, evaluating the brake signals, including the flashing lights, low beam, reverse gear, license plate light and also the green ABS signal light.

  • Whenever you disconnect the trailer from the truck, the first step is to pull the trailer stop button to avoid accidents.
  • Do not leave the air hose or electrical cables touching or near the floor to avoid damage to the system.
  • Always operate in flat and safe places, and without people nearby at the time of operations.
  • When loading the trailer container before the journey, check that it is well fixed by the lashing slings and also by the lower locks.
  • When removing the container from the trailer, make sure the lashing slings and locks are loose to avoid possible damage.
